TS CF-APO 180 mm f/7 FDC100 Triplet-Apochromat

This large apo is a jewel in any observatory. It is the largest apo in our CF series and one of the largest mass-produced achromats in our range. With a weight of 19 kg, the apo needs a stronger mount, such as the CGX-L from Celestron, the GM2000 from 10Micron or the EQ8 from Skywatcher.

Astrophotography with the TS CF-Apo:

The large 180 mm CF-APO with the 4.2" RAP focuser allows astrophotography at the highest level. All common 1.0x correctors can be connected to the focuser. With the optional 0.8x reducer/corrector, specially designed for the 180 mm apo, you get a perfectly corrected image field up to full frame at a fast f/5.6. This allows you to expose objects completely in just one night at high resolution. The corrector is linked in the accessories section.

The TS CF-APO lens

The powerful air-spaced triplet lens has two APO elements. One of them is made of FDC100, which is comparable to FPL53. The result is good chromatic correction despite the relatively fast f/7 focal ratio. The elements are of course adjustable and are optimally set before shipping.

The mechanics of the TS CF-APO

Just as important as the lens is the mechanics. The sturdy tube has inner baffles for the best possible contrast. The 4.2" RAP focuser is designed for heavy loads, it works without tilting. Of course, the focuser offers 360° rotation in addition to screw threads for the correctors. The CNC tube rings are light but stable. A Losmandy style dovetail bar is attached to the base.
