TS-Optics Wynne Newtonian coma corrector for large sensors

For the correction of coma of Newtonian telescopes Massimo Riccardi has designed this outstanding 3-element coma corrector for Teleskop-Service. The corrector provides 66-71 mm backfocus for all customary CCD and DSLR cameras and also off-axis guiders, filter wheels, ... This makes the TS 2.5" Wynne corrector an interesting alternative to the ASA Wynne corrector, which offers less backfocus. On top of that, our corrector provides better illumination, achieved by its short design of only 100 mm.

Simple adaptation to the focuser via the M68x1 thread:

The TS 2.5" Wynne corrector has a M68x1 Zeiss style thread on its top. This thread permits the trouble-free screw-connection to many focusers, for example the Moonlite 2.5" or Starlight Feather Touch. The focusers only requires a camera-sided M68x1 female thread. This specific thread is very common amongst high-quality focusers.

The TS 2.5" Wynne corrector has a camera-sided M68x1 female thread. This allows for a convenient attachment of exciting accessories, such as our TS-Optics M68 off-axis guider. Most cameras with large sensors offer a M68x1 connection or can at least be adapted to this thread.

The backfocus is calculated from the base of the M68x1 thread:

♦ Focal length 600 mm - Backfocus 66 mm
♦ Focal length 800 mm - Backfocus 68 mm
♦ Focal length 1000 mm - Backfocus 69.5 mm
♦ Focal length 1200 mm - Backfocus 69.75 mm
♦ Focal length 1500 mm - Backfocus 70.5 mm
♦ Focal length 1800 mm - Backfocus 71 mm
